PLNOG 20
850 participants, 4 tracks, 48 lectures, discussion panels and live voting sessions – and this is only a part of what happened during the PLNOG 20th anniversary!
Paul Vixie (Farsight Security), Adam Haertle (ZaufanaTrzeciaStrona.pl), Witold Mozgawa (Math Institute UMCS) and many other guests appeared with their lectures on one of the four PLNOG20 scenes. Such a wide range of topics was something special for this edition. In addition to the networks and the operator topics, many new products were presented during PLNOG20. A great deal of excitement aroused around the great lecture by Andrzej Gab and Robert Woźny entitled „10 years of bugs and f * ckups in the network”. During the interactive presentation, the audience tried to solve the biggest problems that the telco industry had to face in the last 10 years. And although it is sometimes hard to find a consensus, the listeners agreed: we need to share not only successes, but also failures. We hope that the topic will be continued during the next editions!
Conference for professionals!
During this edition of the conference as many as 30% of the respondents admitted that they were convinced to attend by the interesting schedule. And there no wonder! A large number of case studies, highly engineering sessions and the best specialists in Poland were finally a response to last year’s suggestions from the participants. The attendees of PLNOG20 agreed that this is a good direction for the development of the conference, which is why the Krakow edition will certainly focus on technical issues.
The elite of the Polish ICT industry in one place
During the PLNOG jubilee we have chosen the Program Council members. They are responsible for assessing CfP applications and supervise the highest quality lectures at each meeting. The conference participants chosen this prestigious group of experts:

Additionally, the best speaker was selected during PLNOG20. This time, however, the Royal Jack statuette came in the hands of two speakers – Łukasz Jachowicz (member of the Council for Digitization) and Tomasz Matuła (Orange), who got the largest number of positive votes ex aequo. Congratulations!
Duties and pleasure – all in one
Apart from the strictly technical side, PLNOG is also a business event, which is a great opportunity to meet in the lobbies, get inspired and to network. The conference partners who have presented their latest products and solutions know this very well. Cisco and Huawei Enterprise booths were visited the most often – we hope to see you in Krakow!
Of course, the conference could not lack the grand Evening Gala, which was the crowning of the celebration of the 10th anniversary! The celebration was accompanied by a musical lecture by Hirek Wrona and an exciting quiz show „Awantura o kasę”. Partner of the Evening Gala was Coriant – cheers to them!
What to expect at PLNOG21?
With the end of PLNOG20 the registration for the twenty-first edition (Krakow, 1-2 October 2018) has begun. It will be an underwater journey into the latest technologies and inspiring solutions. According to the declaration of the new Program Council, we can expect even more technical, educational and business topics, as well as a strong focus on the development of Community Corner and networking attractions. This fall, get caught in the PLNOG network!
