PLNOG 2025 conference summary

The 33rd edition of the PLNOG conference, considered one of the most important events of the telecommunications and ICT industry in Poland, took place on May 12-13, 2025 at the Galaxy Hotel in Cracow. The event brought together 350 participants, including network operators, engineers, security specialists and representatives of vendors and public institutions.
During the two days of the conference, there were 27 lectures and 3 panel discussions, covering a wide range of topics: from modern network technologies, to regulations, to cyber security and artificial intelligence. Among the topics covered were:
- Panel discussion: “Cyber Security of the ICT Sector: AI, Investment and Civil-Military Cooperation” with participation of Andrzej Karpiński, Paweł Olszynka, Sławomir Pietrzyk and Jarosław Wacko.
- Web application security with live demonstrations (Michał Sajdak).
- C-V2X technology and its role in vehicle communications (Jarosław Marski).
- Integration of IP and optical layers in the context of migration to 800G Ethernet (Rafał Sobiczewski).
In addition, Agnieszka Wachowska of Traple Konarski Podrecki and Partners participated in the panel “KSC, NIS and What Next? Regulations, Challenges, Consequences”, analyzing the impact of regulations on the ICT sector.
Networking and community
PLNOG 2025 once again confirmed its position as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience related to ICT. Participants had the opportunity to make valuable business contacts and discuss the future of Polish telecommunications and network security. The organizers also provided space for informal behind-the-scenes discussions, conducive to forming lasting industry relationships and establishing new contacts and initiatives.
Summary
PLNOG 2025 has proven to be not only a place to present the latest technological trends, but also a forum for strategic debates about the future of the ICT sector in Poland. The high level of the lectures, the diversity of topics and the involvement of participants make the conference remain a key event for industry professionals in Central and Eastern Europe.
