Marcin Mazurek He works as a Manager of Network Administrators Team at QXL Poland which is an official name for e-commerce brands like Allegro.pl, Otomoto.pl, Platnosci.pl any many others. He’s responsible along with his team for designing, managing and maintaining IP network, content switching, security and all related components in QXL. Formerly he had been working for nation-wide ISPs like GTS, TDC/Multinet since 1998.

Abstract: The presentation is to pass some knowledge learned during the process of the developement of network architecture for Allegro Group services. I will describe the experiences that have been gained over the last few years coming from transforming small OLAMP solution into one of the biggest European e-commerce sites. The presentation will contain a discussion of management problems, hardware, monitoring and solutions used to facilitate every day life of network administrators and providing services with the highest availability, reponsibility and reliability.
