Committee & Advisory Board members are people who had a significant impact on creating and development of PLNOG initiative. PROIDEA Foundation kindly thanks all those who help organize conferences.

    Sylwester Biernacki – he has been involved in projects concerning networks since 2000. His main interest is designing and maintaining Internet Exchanging Points. He created WIX (Warsaw Internet eXchange). Since 2006 he has been building and maintaining PLIX (Polish Internet eXchange) – the biggest, independent Internet eXchange point. He first started working with networks in 1995 (one of the first ISP:PDi), between 2000-2006 he was responsible for building and maintaining IP framework in ASTER network. Since 2006 dedicated entirely to peering and PLIX. He is PLIX representative at Euro-IX, European Peering Forum and KIKE. Consultant for many Polish operators, especially when it comes to BGP and gateways with different networks.

  • Łukasz Bromirski – System Engineer and consultant at Cisco Systems Poland. Since 2006 he is responsible for handling the most important Cisco partners in projects concerning routing, switching, security and solutions created for Internet operators. He has been working with networks since 1997. Engaged in network projects outside work as well, especially those aiming at popularizing the newest network solutions among network community. Well-known speaker at networking conferences in Poland and abroad. He is one of the members of Routing&Switching Advisory Team at Cisco Systems and was rewarded with Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certificate.

  • Marcin Mazurek – he works as a Manager of Network Administrators Team at QXL Poland which is an official name for e-commerce brands like Allegro.pl, Otomoto.pl, Platnosci.pl any many others. He’s responsible along with his team for designing, managing and maintaining IP network, content switching, security and all related components in QXL. Formerly he had been working for nation-wide ISPs like GTS, TDC/Multinet since 1998.

  • Robert Raszuk – Robert Raszuk is Principal Engineer of IOS Routing Development Team in Cisco Systems. Previously he was part of Juniper Routing Protocol Engineering team which he has joined in Jan 2007 as Dist. Eng after spending 10 years in Cisco System’s Routing Protocols Deployment and Architecture group. He originally joined Cisco in summer of 1997 where he became part of CA NSA team dedicated to provide consultations and design for the largest Cisco’s customers. His customers included MCI & ATT networks. In 1999 he moved to IOS engineering where he was part of LSSR team then moved to MPLS development. After Procket’s acquisition he spend a great deal of time in IOS-XR team co-designing components like L3VPNs or BGP fast convergence. He is author & co-author of over 30 patents & number of ietf drafts as well as RFCs. His focus has been during last years concentrated on large scale routing (mainly BGP), MPLS and it’s applications. He has over 14 years experience in the computer networking industry and number of very good relations with many key world wide service providers. His main role in Cisco IOS team is to provide a very close liaison between key customers and routing engineering team, to work with customer and other vendors in IETF as well as to communicate IOS enhancements to customers.

  • Rafa Szarecki – is part of Juniper Networks EMEA Professional Services team. He joined the company in Jan 2006 as a PS Consultant after spending 6 years in Ericsson Customer Services and then Solution groups. Before Rafał was working for Academic and Research Computer Networks (NASK), and he has more then 10 years of experience in the computer networking industry. During his career Rafał was involved in developing and implementation of multiple networks in Poland and abroad, for biggest Polish and tire 1 European Operators. His main specialisation area is implementation of MPLS services on the backbone networks and multicast data delivery. Rafal holds JNCIE-M/T and JNCIP-E (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert – M/T series and Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional – E-series) certificates. He is also certified instructor of Juniper Networks.

  • Andrzej Targosz – works in PROIDEA Foundation for Supporting IT Education. He is an architect and along with PROIDEA team organizes one of the biggest technical conferences in Poland: CONFidence and Java Developers’ Day. Moreover, he was a co-organizer of meetBSD conference in 2004 and 2005. In PROIDEA Foundation he gives trainings concerning networks and IT security. He is a founder and leader of Poland OWASP Chapter, a local agency of an international organisation created to promote safe coding.
