For the last seven years Jan has been working as a consultant in the IT field, specializing in IPv6. He co-founded the Go6 institute (non-profit), a Slovenian IPv6 initiative whose main objective is to raise IPv6 awareness in Slovenia and alert the community to the fact that we are approaching extensive changes on the Internet.

Ivan Pepelnjak (CCIE#1354, CCSI#93012) has been designing, installing, troubleshooting, and operating large service provider and enterprise WAN and LAN networks since 1990 and is currently chief technology advisor at NIL Data Communications, focusing on advanced IP-based networks and web technologies. PROIDEA – conference offer 2012

    December 2011

PROIDEA Foundation for Supporting IT Education was founded in 2004 as a response to the growing demand for organizations sharing ICT knowledge. Since the early beginning, PROIDEA implements its statutory goals, not only through diversified training activities (among others, we have status of the Cisco Academy), but also by organization of specialized, national and international conferences and workshops.

With satisfaction, we can conclude that our previous projects ended with great success and became motivation to create a new department of PROIDEA Foundation, which organizes the external conferences for commercial customers. We believe that our seven years of experience, backed up by organizing almost 50 Polish and international conferences, attended by over 15,000 participants, will provide services at the highest level.

    PLNOG4EDU – read and help :)

    December 2011
The PLNOG4EDU project has achieved first successes – we were able to help kids from Lesser Poland, Grosser Poland and Subcarpathian region, but it’s still not enough! We need your support! Send us information about schools, children’s homes and other establishments that are struggling with a lack of funds or equipment – we will try to help :) If you have office equipment (such as notebooks, pens, etc.) or hardware (monitors, printers, computers, etc.) that you want to get rid of – let us know, we will take it and effectively split between those who need it.

PROIDEA Foundation – Summary of 2011

    December 2011

In November, we finished another conference season. It’s a good moment to summarize what we have managed to achieve during this year and think about our plans for 2012.

In 2011 PROIDEA Foundation team managed to successfully complete its annual projects. Two editions of PLNOG – a conference concerning networks, gathered even more attendees than last year. What’s more, during autumn edition, for the first time, we organized EuroNOG (European Network Operators’ Group) – a conference for all European implementing companies and operators, where we managed to gather over 150 attendees. We are aware of the fact that gaining more and more qualifications, meeting people and exchanging experience are the most important factors for our attendees, that’s why we are planning to continue our projects in the coming year of 2012. 8th edition of PLNOG will be held on 5-6 March 2012 in Warsaw, next EuroNOG will be held in June 2012 in Lubljana.

Without a doubt, we have to mention our CONFidence conference in May which this year took place in extraordinary surroundings of historic water pumping station in Krakow Bielany. As always, CONFidence had many world-class IT security specialists who came to share their knowledge and experience. We haven’t forgotten about developers, to whom we dedicated to events – JDD (two-day, renowned conference created for Java developers and 4Developers – professional, one-day conference divided into 4 independent paths concerning technologies and issues which we can observe in modern software-producing companies.

In 2011 we started organizing events for external clients. For the second time for Allegro Group, we organized the biggest Polish conference on e-commerce. New face of e-nnovation conference gathered in Poznan over 700 attendees, including e-commerce celebrities. Amongst speakers we got Don Dodge, Jeff Tylor or Eric Ly. What is more, we managed to organize few smaller projects for companies like Cisco and Fortinet.

Focusing on plans for 2012 – we are even more motivated to satisfy expectations of  IT industry, we want to continue our ongoing events. Additionally, we decided to broaden our area of activity and focus a little bit more on new technologies – that’s why we are organizing first Startup Weekend Krakow, which will be held on 20-22 January 2012.

We are glad, that conferences organized by PROIDEA Foundation are very popular in IT industry in Poland. That is why we want to continuously  develop our event calendar, also with external orders. Every  time, we focus on professional presentations and efficient organization. Knowing IT industry’s needs, and having many years of experience, we believe that we can provide you with top quality services.

If you are interested in cooperation, please contact us via e-mail: jakub.koziol@proidea.org.pl or via phone +48504172327.
